Here is the Milam County Jail Log for June 9-15. Jail logs list all persons charged with offenses through the county jail docket. Charges may change during the process. Persons are presumed innocent until convicted in a court of law.

Fourth of July parade, meal canceled

There will be not celebration of the “stars and stripes” this year in our town. The Milano City Council decided to cancel the annual July 4th parade and community meal for this year at their meeting on Monday night. The event was the only one of its kind in the area.

Our family attended Addy’s dance recital in College Station Sunday afternoon. All who participated did a great job. There were 33 performances and we enjoyed them all. Delores and Johnny Fisher celebrated great-grandson Quinton Fisher Jr.’s first birthday on Saturday, June 13, in Hearne.

CITY SEEKS HELP ON WATER CONSERVATION

  From the City of Rockdale Wednesday afternoon:  "We are currently experiencing very high water consumption and are nearing Stage 1 of our Drought Contingency Plan.

CASES 47 AND 48

  Milam County Judge Steve Young said the county was advised of two more COVID-19 cases Monday night.   That brings the current total to 48.  Young said both are self-quarantined at home.  He said there are 11 active cases in the county and 50 persons are being monitored.

CASE TOTAL GOES TO 46

 County Judge Steve Young said early Monday afternoon there are two new confirmed cases of COVID-19 in Milam County, bringing the total to 46. "Neither are hospitalized, but both will self quarantine at home for 14 days," he said. There are 11 active cases, but none in the hospital.

44TH CASE REPORTED SATURDAY

  Milam County has a 44th case of COVID-19.     County Judge Steve Young said this person tested positive and is hospitalized in Temple, but not in ICU.     "We have 44 confirmed cases, 9 active cases, 1 hospitalized and the health department is monitoring over 40 individuals," he said.

MILAM COUNT NOW 43

  Milam County Judge Steve Young said Friday afternoon there are now 43 cases of COVID-19 in the county.   Young said officials had previously told him there were two new cases reported, which would have brought the total to 44.

TWO MORE CASES

  Milam County Judge Steve Young said Thursday morning Milam County has recorded two more cases of COVID-19.   Young said he will provide additional details later today.   Tha brings the county's count to 44, including what is now 10 this week.
