Summer fun activities on tap for kids

Building permits top $1-million

One big construction project and a lot of re-roofing thank to an early spring hailstorm have combined to lift Rock-dale building permits over the $1-million level just five months into 2019. Permits, issued at City Hall have totaled $1,097,556 through the end of May.

MDD to hear presentation

The Rockdale Municipal Development District will meet in special session at 6 p.m. Friday in the MDD Building to hear a presentation on the cultivation, processing and distribution of industrialized hemp.
