Milano homecoming king, queen to be crowned Friday

Milano High School celebrates homecoming this week and will crown its homecoming royalty on Friday at the Eagle football game. The 2020 MHS homecoming king and queen will be crowed during halftime ceremonies. Senior king nominees are Marquise Jones, Abraham Perez, Cordell Spears and Jeremy Reyes.

Historical Commission meeting on Monday The Milam County Historical Commission will hold their meeting at the Little River Baptist Church. The meeting will be at 10 a.m. Monday, according to Beth Brooks, publicity editor.

49 indicted by grand jury

CAMERON—Forty-nine persons were indicted on 68 counts by a Milam County grand Jury Thursday, according to Prosecutor Bill Torrey, who listed case dispositions as follows: • Damion Dominique Duran, 27, Rockdale, possession of controlled substance (less than one gram)— drug free zone.

One of these 23 contestants will be the new Miss Rockdale Fair Queen in the annual beauty pageant sponsored by Rockdale Fair Association, as part of the 2020 Fair activities. The pageant is set for October 10 at the Firemen’s Hall in Thorndale.
