This is the time of year when local government is required to set a tax rate and budget for the following year. There are specific guidelines that must be adhered to for adopting a tax rate and putting a budget in place in order that the public has full access to both.

No-Knead Crusty White Bread

I keep seeing this recipe going around from the King Arthur Baking Co. and it looks so easy I think even I can make it. And Lord knows I love some crusty bread. For so few ingredients there are a lot of instructions.

Going to school

Standing on the front steps 0f Rockdale High School at 8:30 a.m. Thursday, two things were obvious, simultaneously. This looked just like the first day of school. This didn’t look a thing like the first day of school. That sounds odd, but the odd is the normal in this topsy-turvy year of 2020.
