Our turn when?

We are thrilled that Cameron is well on the way toward getting two new medical facilities which will establish much-needed “after hours” care for Milam County residents.

LETTERS TO THE EDITOR

Appreciates column from former pastor Dear editor, Keep up the good work. People here are always asking me “where is Rockdale? I’ve never heard of it.” So I pass the paper around when I am done with it, so they find out about our peaceful little town. Thanks a lot.

Play your part in getting rid of this virus

I hope Judge Young’s mask order works because I am so very tired of COVID-19. Sometimes I feel like my life is on hold. And it’s been on hold for far longer than I ever thought it would be.

LETTERS TO THE EDITOR

Dear editor, Re: Raynard Churchwell’s June 11 Reporter column. Yes, a lot of it is very true. There are some who hate others for the color of their skin. I am a 79-year-old white man and I grew up around older white men who carried their dislike for others because of the color of their skin.

Our sense of smell is more than you’d think

Isn’t it strange how one of your senses can bring back a memory of someone or some time or place? The smell of something or hearing a sound or tasting something that takes you to another time in your life. There are two smells that I associate with my grandmother Cooke.
