Let’s start with an apology. This editorial is going to leave out somebody. We’re sorry. We didn’t mean to, but it’s going to be impossible to mention everyone who needs mentioning in these unprecedented times.

I have a ‘pregnant’ idea for Rockdale

As my grandfather Cooke used to say, “I have a pregnant idea.” When our lives get back to normal after this virus I think we should have a big Rockdale celebration. I’m picturing it at the KC Hall. Tables set up in the middle for eating and visiting with friends we haven’t seen in a long time.

Turning the tables on moms and dads

I saw this quote on the internet the other day: “In an unsettling reversal of my teenage years, I am now yelling at my parents for going out.” Last Monday I put my mom and dad in quarantine. They didn’t love hearing it, but agreed it was a good idea. At least for a few days anyway.
