He told me to tell you that Everyday I have to remember what Jesus taught us in Luke 10:42, which is there is “one thing necessary.” Everyday I have to remember that I have to choose this “good portion.” Jesus is the one thing and Jesus is the good portion.

ER prospects

EDITORIAL Rockdale needs some kind of emergency room-trauma care-urgency care facility. That much is obvious. Our town lost its facility in December when Little River-Rockdale Hospital closed and, of course, the emergency room went with it.

County unity boosted by Friday event

Friday was truly a historic event for all of us in Milam County, as the first ever Rockdale-Cameron Football Extraordinaire was held. The KC Hall was packed with a standing room only crowd to honor the two best Class 3A Division 1 football programs in Texas.

Just got real

The choices faced by Rockdale residents in getting a new health care facility—a first-rate clinic affiliated with St. Joseph’s in Bryan—just got real. On Monday the Rockdale Hospital Board proposed a 16.9-cent property tax to fund the new clinic.
