100 YEARS AGO.... Lawless Green, 20, son of Cameron First National Bank President A. A. Green, died in a plane crash in Cameron. The younger Green was a passenger in a plane operated by a barnstorming pilot who had already taken several Cameron residents up that day.

‘You dropped a bomb on me, baby’

Last week I was reading in the good book about good works. Ephesians 2:10 says, “…we are His workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand, that we should walk in them.” Some translations say we should spend our lives helping others.

JUDGE’S COMMENTS During the last two weeks your Milam County Commissioners Court has worked out a preliminary county budget for 2020. If approved, there will be no new county taxes for 2020 and there will be no layoffs or budget cuts.
