Milano High School celebrates homecoming this week and will crown its homecoming royalty on Friday at the Eagle football game. The 2020 MHS homecoming king and queen will be crowed during halftime ceremonies.

haven’t made this recipe yet but it sure sounds I good for the kind of weather we’ve been having lately. It’s not really fall yet—and certainly not winter—but just cool enough to enjoy some chicken noodle soup. And the lemon in this recipe will give it a bright flavor. I love anything lemon—sweet or savory.

This won’t make people happy (I’m used to it, not making people happy is an occupational hazard) but there is a truth that we all need to reconcile, and here it is: Church is never going to be the same. I don’t think we know it but that’s what we are really grieving as we walk into empty church buildings on Sunday morning while masked up, social distancing and thinking about how we are going to pay the bills. I’m not sure there has ever been a greater time for the church to say, “It is what it is.”
