Reader stunned over treatment of candidate

Dear editor, I am 89 years old and in a recent article in The Reporter I was stunned beyond words when I realized that citizens of my dearly beloved Rockdale had been so rude to a candidate for office. The fact that the city had to pass an ordinance because of the rudeness was beyond my comprehension. I said to myself, “not my Rockdale.” I grew up in a Rockdale that was filled with kindness, love and understanding.
