100 YEARS AGO The Southern Steel Company, of San Antonio, has been given the contract and is now engaged in erecting an iron fence around the old City Cemetery in Rockdale. This is the culmination of an object long worked for by the good women of Rockdale, through their Cemetery Association.

RHS Class of 1975 looking for members

The RHS Class of 1975 will hold their 50th reunion on June 7 in conjunction with Rockdale’s Citywide Homecoming which will be the following day at the KC Hall and at which the Class of 1975 will be honored.

Historical society meets at Kay

The Milam County Historical Commission will meet at the Kay Theater on Monday, April 7 at 10 a.m. Speaker will be Dr. Sarah Chesney with the Texas Archeological Society (TAS) will provide information on the upcoming Summer Field School being held in Milam and Robertson Counties June 14-21.
