Milano Christmas Parade will be Dec. 9. Make sure to stay and see Santa! FOOD DRIVE— Milano High School will be having a food drive competition Nov. 27-Dec. 15. Each class has a designated item to bring. These donations will benefit Pack Pals and Christmas Roundup.

Last minute Turkey Day recipes

Since the paper comes out early this week I’m going to give you a few more Thanksgiving recipes. The first one you’ve no doubt seen before, but I can’t help myself because it’s so delicious. It’s my great grandmother and great aunt’s dressing recipe.

What to snack on before meal

This week let’s talk about what you eat before your Thanksgiving dinner is ready. We always seem to have a veggie tray, even if it comes from the grocery store. There is never any left. Sister-in-law Christine makes her “traditional Thanksgiving queso” with her homemade salsa.

100 YEARS AGO… In spite of the handicap imposed by the postponement of the date first set for Sept. 20, Rockdale’s big annual “Ford Trade Days” were a success. The crowd began arriving early and the stores were all busy.

Three easy Thanksgiving sides

We’ve got a few weeks to talk about Thanksgiving so that’s what we’re going to do. This first one is very easy since we’ve all got so many other things to worry about that day. You can even make it in a Crock Pot to free up oven space. Corn Casserole 14.75 oz. creamed corn 15.25 oz.
