POLICE REPORT

Officers made four felony arrests and worked two accidents during the past week. A 21-year-old Rockdale woman was arrested Monday by Officer Michael Hubnik on a Milam County warrant for probation violation on a forgery of financial instrument.

Senior Serve to be held Saturday at Cowboy Church

Bigfoot hunting licenses may soon be needed in Oklahoma

Just about every state requires hunters to purchase licenses before they can stalk their prey; they have seasons, as well. Well now, the state of Oklahoma just may become the first to establish a season for licensed hunters out on the hunt for Bigfoot. Yep, you read that right, Bigfoot.

Area bank announces in-house promotions

Citizens National Bank, a Central Texas community financial institution, announced three leadership promotions at its January board meeting, including one involving the president of the Rockdale branch. Jim Morse was appointed as the portfolio risk manager.

Rockdale ISD graduate gets named University of Houston vice president

Rockdale native Daniel Villanueva has been named the University of Houston-Downtown’s new vice president of enrollment management. He will assume the role Feb. 1.
