COVID-19 testing finds 18 new cases

Testing revealed eight new PCR cases and ten new probable cases to report.  Six PCR cases were discharged, and ten probable cases were discharged.  One person was admitted to a hospital and one was discharged.

No COVID-19 cases reported; 19 cases discharged

Five PCR cases were discharged and fourteen probable cases were discharged. There are no new PCR or probable cases to report.    Testing is in Rockdale from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Testing finds four new COVID-19 cases

Wednesday testing revealed four new PCR cases and no probable cases.  Five individuals were discharged from the active list and one person was hospitalized.  Testing today is in Cameron at the fire station until 3 p.m.

Milam could be offering shots next year

County Judge Steve Young delivered some hopeful news at the Commissioners Court meeting Monday in the Milam County Courthouse. There is a COVID-19 vaccine on its way, he said. “We don’t know when we will get the vaccine, but we are guessing shortly after the first of the year,” he said.

The Rockdale Tigers busted out ready to play last Friday but came up seven points shy in a battle at home for the 11-3A District title. The Tigers lost to the Lorena Leopards who finished the regular season with an overall mark of 7-2 and a district record of 5-1.

Rockdale police to get new vehicles

Rockdale City Council members voted to get four new Tahoes for the police force at Monday’s meeting in City Hall. “They wanted six Tahoes. I would like to think about the other two for a while possibly the next council meeting,” Mayor John King said.
