CAMERON—John Earl Barron, 66, of Frisco, formerly of Cameron, passed away unexpectedly, Wednesday, Sept. 14, 2022, in a Frisco hospital.
Memorial services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 24, at Marek-Burns-Laywell Funeral Home in Cameron.
Mr. Barron was born Oct. 27, 1955, in Milam County to Noah Earl (Peanut) and Edith (Walton) Barron.
He attended C.H. Yoe High School and University of Mary Hardin-Baylor.
He married Kim Sommers on March 3, 1979.
Mr. Barron had worked for many years for the Cameron Housing Authority and for Glass the Florist. He also worked as a professional baseball scout for many years.
Survivors are his wife, Kim Barron of Frisco; a daughter, Ashley Elliott and husband Matt of Frisco; and two grandchildren, Olivia and Hadley Elliott.
