Lynna Kay Shuffield, an award-winning historian, preservationist, author, editor and genealogist, died Wednesday, Dec. 12, 2018, in Houston following a two-year illness. She was 61. Graveside services were held Wednesday, Dec. 19, at Earthman Resthaven Cemetery in Houston. Ms.

Elihue Wilburn Sr., 86, of Rockdale died Monday, Dec. 11, 2018. His visitation will be from 1 to 2 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 22, and his funeral service will begin immediately afterwards at New Hope Missionary Baptist Church, 327 E. Third St., in Rockdale. Mr. Wilburn was born Aug. 9, 1932.
