RHS wins medals in 13 events

TROY—Going into a week where Rockdale High School head track coach Chris VanCleave opted to rest many members of his team, RHS still seemed to perform at a high level, with 19 medals won throughout Thursday evening at Troy’s Trojan Relays. “We had kids in a lot of different events,” Van-Cleave said.

Fishing in Central Texas

Rockdale Relays: RHS competes with tougher schools

At the 65th annual Rockdale Relays, an event that has taken place in eight different decades, RHS track-and-field athletes went up against rigorous competition from bigger schools such as Bryan’s Rudder High School and Georgetown’s East View High.

Bulldogs make run at regional tournament

Last Tuesday, Thorndale basketball had the task of taking on top-ranked Big Sandy in the Region IV quarterfinals, a team that many high school basketball fans around Texas thought would be playing for a state championship later this month.
