Wildcats are ‘wild card’ at state tourney

Following a third place finish at the 15-and-under district tournament in Belton, the Rockdale Wildcats assumed their season was over. However, after one qualifier withdrew from next month’s state tournament in Riesel, the Milam County squad is back in action.

Tiger 7-on-7 goes undefeated, earns trip to state

ROCKDALE—With less than a minute left to play and the score tied at 19 in their Pool Play opener, Rockdale’s Jose Castillo was able to undercut the route of a Madisonville receiver to get an interception, which ultimately led to the Tiger seven-on-seven squad winning the game, 26-19.
