RJH Aaron Montelongo won the District Meet in Cameron. Montelongo’s time of 11:58 led the boys, team to a second-place finish. “I’m so proud of the work he (Montelongo) puts in, and how much he wants to grow in the program,” RJH Head Coach Cheryl Meuth said.

The RHS netters capped off their regular season finale in style. On Friday, the Lady Tigers were victorious against the Academy Lady Bees in three sets 25-15, 25-21 and 25-22. Julie Bartsch led the Lady Tigers with 12 kills. Haven Jimenez led the team with 15 digs and six aces.

The Milano Eagles’ lack of depth came back to haunt them as they were defeated by the Iola Bulldogs 51-13. The Eagles are now 2-5 on the season and 1-3 in district play. “I am happy that we continued to play hard,” MHS Head Coach Chad Lagrone said. “Due to injuries, we only had 14 guys playing.
