The Thorndale Bulldogs were victorious in a tough battle against the Thrall Tigers 21-19. They are now 6-2 on the season overall and 4-1 in district play. “Overall, I feel like we played a good game,” RHS Head Coach John Kovar said.

7th Grade A Team The 7 Grade A Team lost to the Academy Bees 20-8. De’andre Nunn scored the Tigers only touchdown on an 80-yard pass from Brody Willard. Willard kicked the the ball throught the uprights two-point conversion. Offensive standouts included Nunn and Ragan Roberts.

I’ve started getting ready for Christmas. I bought us a new artificial Christmas tree. And I’m hoping some of the kids come around and offer to put it up and put the decorations on it. A little early yet, but have to start making plans. Maybe I should be making plans for Thanksgiving.

The RHS boys cross country team continued their stellar season after placing second in the Lexington Meet on Saturday. The girls did not place as a team with only two runners participating in the race. However, both runners placed in the top 15.

The Lady Tigers celebrated their Senior Night on Tuesday as they faced the Rogers Lady Eagles. Unfortunately, the were defeated in five sets. After dropping the first two sets 16-25 and 21-25, the Lady Tigers didn’t give up. They would win the next two sets 25-20 and 26-24.

The RJH boys’ cross country team had a great showing last Wednesday placing second at the Lexington Meet. The girls’ team placed seventh and had four runners finish in the top 25 spots. Both the boys and girls were required to run two miles for their races.

Former RHS student and current Mary Hardin-Baylor golfer Annie Hasselbach was named American Southwest Conference Player of the Week last week. Hasselbach claimed her first collegiate tournament victory at the Fall Tiger Classic posting a total score of 155.
