The Tigers extended their winning streak to four as they prevailed in a close battle against the Troy Trojans 46-38. The Tigers are now 6-3 on the season and 4-1 in district play. “I felt like the kids really locked in and engaged in the game plan,” RHS Head Coach Jacob Campsey said.

Rockdale Tigers wide receiver/defensive back Kesean Raven made a verbal commitment to Sam Houston State University on Friday via Twitter. “Sam Houston State was the best decision for me because it’s closer for my mom to attend the games,” Raven said.

On Thursday, The JV Tigers extended their win streak to three as they defeated the Troy JV team 18-0. The Tigers now hold a record of 4-3-2 on the season and 4-1 in district play. Defense prevailed in the first half as neither team was able to score any points.

On Thursday, The MHS Volleyball team saw their season come on an end. After qualifying for the 2A Region 3 and 4 Playoffs in their last regular season game, the Lady Eagles were defeated by the Snook Lady Blue Jays in the Bi-District round in four sets 25-23, 20-25, 13-25 and 19-25.

The Thorndale Bulldogs failed to end their regular season in style as the fell to the Hearne Eagles 42-18. The Bulldogs finished the regular season with a 6-3 record and a 4-2 record in district play. “It took us little while to adjust in the game,” THS Head Coach John Kovar said.
