As of Tuesday, Rockdale Junior High student-athlete Jesus Bocanegra is the fifth fastest eighth grader in the state of Texas. Bocanegra’s time of 11:16.2 at the McGregor ISD Invitational on Saturday, Sept. 14, was good enough to get him amongst the top middle school distance runners in Texas.
