Last Wednesday, the Tigers held their basketball practice of the season in the old RHS Gymnasium. Rockdale is a new look team this year in almost every sense. They have new head coach Marcus McNeil, who comes from Weimar after a 2019 regional appearance with the Wildcats.

MHS falls to Eurton in 19th straight playoff appearance

Milano’s season came to an end against Burton in three straight sets 25-18, 25-17, 25-16 on Tuesday night in Somerville. They went up against a Lady Panther team that went 13-1 in District 26-2A and made it to the fourth of the playoffs in 2018.

Tiger JV beats Jarrell 14-6, RJH eighth graders remain unbeaten

Rockdale’s J V1 got their their fourth win of the season with a 14-6 victory over arrell on Thursday at Tiger Stadium. The opening quarter was scoreless but the RHS defense was active in the second and went up 2-0 after scoring on a safety.

Luna qualifies for state

Sophomore Ivanna Luna became the first Rockdale athlete since Juan Rubio in 2012 to qualify for the state cross country meet after placing seventh at the Region III meet in Huntsville on Monday. “I’m very proud of Ivanna,” said Cheryl Meuth, RISD head cross country coach.

Rockdale’s volleyball team played their final volleyball game of the season Tuesday evening falling to Rogers 25-21, 27-29,17-25, 19-25. The Lady Tigers ended their season just out of the playoff picture in fifth place with a record of 6-8 in District 19-3A.

Milano falls 38-14 in Marlin

MHS was unable to stop Marlin’s running game early in their 38-14 loss on Friday night. The Bulldogs outrushed Milano 332-130 with Sir Charleston Lee finishing the night with 167 yards on 22 carries and Braylen Fisher accounting for 132 yards on 14 carries.
