Rockdale closed it’s district schedule in a positive manner with a 53-7 win over Academy Friday at Tiger Stadium. Jace Robinson tied his career record of five touchdown passes in a game and Cam’Ron Valdez rushed for more than 200 yards for the seventh time this season.

Milano’s 2019 season came to an end Friday night with a 69-2 loss to Holland, Texas Football Magazine’s seventh-ranked team in Class 2A-I and the only undefeated team in District 13-2A-I. The Hornets got off to a fast start with a 40-yard touchdown by Clay Cooper in the opening minute.

Thorndale’s winning streak of more than a dozen games came to an end on Tuesday night when the Lady Bulldogs were defeated by Burton 22-25, 23-25, 18-25 at the Giddings High School Gymnasium. The loss kept them short of the Region IV tournament in Brenham coming up this weekend.

RJH girls host Cameron next week Rockdale Junior High basketball team played Lexington on Wednesday after press time. The game was originally scheduled for Thursday evening but was moved to the day before. The Lady Tigers play next on Thursday, Nov. 21, when they host Cameron in RJH Gymnasium.
