Bulldogs victorious in Battle of 79

After a frustrating loss to top-ranked Holland a week earlier, the Bulldogs made up for it with 36-13 win over rival Thrall, defeating the Tigers for the 56th time in school history. “The Thrall game is always a good one to win,” said Scott Hawkins, THS football coach and athletic director.

Bocanegra fifth-ranked runner in Lone Star State

As of Tuesday, Rockdale Junior High student-athlete Jesus Bocanegra is the fifth fastest eighth grader in the state of Texas. Bocanegra’s time of 11:16.2 at the McGregor ISD Invitational on Saturday, Sept. 14, was good enough to get him amongst the top middle school distance runners in Texas.
