Thorndale’s Ferguson commits to ENMU

Cong r atulat ion s to Thorndale Bulldog’s star athlete Gunner Ferguson who recently committed to play baseball for the Eastern New Mexico University Greyhounds. ENMU is a public university located in Portales, New Mexico, and competes in NCAA Division II’s Lone Star Conference.

ACADEMIC ALL-STATE FOOTBALL

Klay Eschberger was honored by the Rockdale ISD school board for making the All-State Second Team by Texas High School Coaches Association. Alvan Liu, who was not present for the presentation was honored for making the Elite Team by Texas High School Coaches Association for football.

ACADEMIC VOLLEYBALL AWARDS

Macy McDaniel was honored for making the volleyball Academic All-State Elite Team by Texas High School Coaches Association Academic. Molly Moody was Second Team Academic All-State by Texas High School Coaches Association for volleyball.

Way to go Thorndale Lady Dogs! The following Thorndale volleyball players were recognized at Academic All-State student athletes: Hestin Ellington, Hadley Meadors and Allison Owen. Rhynn Bigan was named Academic All-State support.

ROCKDALE BASKETBALL

MUMFORD— The Rockdale Lady Tigers’ basketball team went up against Mumford last week and lost 33-25. Players of the game were Trinity Hurd, six points, three rebounds, four steals; Tanisha McBr ide, six points, two rebounds, one steal and one block; Jernee Mitchell, six points.
