THORNDALE POWERLIFTING

Thorndale competed in Milano's Powerlifting Meet last week. The Bulldogs left with a first-place finish as a team. Individual medalists in their classes were Deven Cuba and Jacob Beardsley placed first; Marcus Shaw, second; Jose Macias and Luciano Legon, third.

SPORTS BRIEFS

Swimmers that are between the ages of 4 and 18 can now register for the Wake Aquatics swim teams. These teams will participate in swim meets in June and July and compete in the regional and state competitions. For more information www.wakeaquatics.com

The Rockdale Tigers soccer squad played one game last week against Smithville and won 5-0. Scoring goals in this victory were Angel Rivera with three goals, Zeke Castro and Kevin Valdivia with one goal each. Wilmer Sorto and Ayeden Pena had two assists each.

The Rockdale Tigers golf team came in fourth place in the Caldwell Tournament recently. This was their first outing in the 2025 season. Tiger Zeb Shrhak placed first as an individual with a score 74 and Mason Lillard placed fourth after shooting an 81.

Milano Eagles basketball team went 2-0 last week—both were road wins. They beat Rosebud- Lott, 38-33, and McDade, 66-33. The Eagles are currently 5-6 in district and 10-17 overall.

The Thorndale Lady Dogs basketball team wrapped up their regular season in Lady Dog fashion winning at home against Holland, 36-18. Thorndale finished the year in second place in their district with a 9-3 record.

ROCKDALE POWERLIFTING

Rockdale traveled to Milano over the weekend to compete in The Eagle's annual powerlifting meet. Tiger senior Ernest Aldrete placed first in his class. Aldrete set a record of all the schools competing in the 308 weight class with a squat of 655, a bench of 540 and a deadlift of 500.
