The Rockdale Lady Tigers soccer squad hosted their annual Blue & Gold Cup Invitational last week. They came in third place overall with a record of 2-2-1. The Lady Tigers had wins against Hempstead, 2-0, and Florence, 1-0.

ROCKDALE HIGH SCHOOL BASKETBALL

Tigers Tigers 51, Trojans 41 The Rockdale Tigers basketball team won at home against Troy last week. The final was 51-41.

THORNDALE HIGH SCHOOL BASKETBALL

Lady Dogs The Thorndale Lady Dogs took on Milano last week and won 39-21. This gives Thorndale a 2-0 start in district play. COMING UP— The Lady Dogs hosted Rosebud- Lott before the holiday school break and will compete in the Thorndale Shootout starting Friday.

MILANO HIGH SCHOOL BASKETBALL

Lady Eagles McDADE— The Milano Lady Eagles traveled to McDade and played in their first district game of the season. They came home with the win, 44-39. THORNDALE— Milano then hosted neighboring Thorndale and lost 39-21.

Lady Tigers The Rockdale Lady Tigers soccer team traveled to Hillsboro to scrimmage the Lady Eagles and had a significant win, 9-1. COMING UP— Head Soccer Coach Shirley Rodriguez’s squad hit the road to play Robinson before the Christmas break and will host Hillsboro at 10 a.m.

The Rockdale Tigers won big over Bruceville-Eddy in front of the home crowd early last week. The final score was 55-22.

THORNDALE BASKETBALL

The Thorndale Bulldogs went 3-1 and finished second in the Coach Lieberman Classic tournament last week. COMING UP— They played on the road in Lorena Tuesday and will host Rosebud- Lott at 7:30 p.m. Friday.

The Milano Eagles basketball team beat Snook last week in a squeaker, 50-49. COMING UP— The Eagles played Caldwell early this week on the road and will travel to Granger on Friday. Game time is 4:30 p.m.
