REFUGIO BOBCATS 51, THORNDALE BULLDOGS 14

SEASON OVER— The Thorndale Bulldog football season came to a close last week at LaGrange’s Leopard Stadium. Thorndale went up against Refugio in a Class 2A-Division I area playoff game and lost 51-14. Congratulations Bulldogs on a great season! Thorndale finished 8-4 overall.

ROCKDALE HIGH SCHOOL BASKETBALL

The Lady Trojans from Troy made a visit to Tiger Gym last week and the Rockdale Lady Tigers played an exceptional game. Trailing by double digits for a lot of the game, the Lady Tigers never quit. In fact, quitting is never an option for the women's Head Basketball Coach Danielle Froggatt.

Tigers

The Blue & Gold basketball team fell short twice last week. The Tigers started their week in Elgin and lost 58-45. Josiah Smith had a double-double, scoring 19 points with 20 rebounds. Jeremiah Watts had six points, two rebounds and two steals. G. Williams had seven points for the Tigers.

Lady Tigers

The Rockdale Lady Tigers hosted Navasota in Tiger Gym last week and lost in a close game. The final score was Navasota 36, Rockdale 33. Leading scorer was junior Trinity Hurd. The Lady Tigers are now 2-1 for the season.

Bulldogs outlast Riesel, advance to area

Thorndale will face 10-1 Refugio Friday night in LaGrange JARRELL—Thorndale took on Riesel in a Class 2A Division I bi-district playoff game that was played in Jarrell last Friday night and the Bulldogs came home a winner. The final score was Thorndale 41, Riesel 35.
