I’ve got a friend on Twitter who every morning tweets, “Jesus is alive. And that changes everything about today.” That’s truth and that’s a heavy truth and we have to deal with it in a very serious way.

You are Christ’s protégé

Some of you, as I, have memories of church plays. For many Easters, men of my home church would pose to re-enact DaVinci’s masterpiece, The Last Supper. One year the youth group, under the direction of my mom, performed a stage play of the last week of Jesus’ life.

Ponnaiya takes first place in Fort Worth

Graduating Rockdale High School senior Jason Ponnaiya won first place in the senior division at the Fort Worth Stock Show & Rodeo Plant ID Contest which was held on Jan. 25. Ponnaiya also won a $4,000 scholarship for the second year in a row.

In 4-H, the 4-H youth are asked to lead and coordinate service projects in their clubs and county wide which helps them with 4-H recordbooks, awards and eventually scholarships.
