He had gone to visit a home where they had recently adopted a greyhound dog. It had been a racing dog; the race where a pack of greyhounds chase a mechanical rabbit around a track. When those dogs can’t race anymore, the owners simply put the dog up for adoption.

The annual meeting of the Salty Cemetery Association will be held on March 2 at 7 p.m. at the Salty Church Annex. “The meeting is open to all with loved ones buried at the cemetery, and all others interested in the cemetery are urged to attend,” said spokesperson Paula Gibson Johnson.
