City sets budget, tax rate; appoints board members

At Monday night’s Rockdale City Council meeting, the 2026-2027 budget was adopted and the tax was set at $0.782141 per $100 valuation, which is the no-new-revenue rate. The council also added an additional option from a company called Equi-Vest Strategies for city employees to save for retirement.
