Lucy Hill Patterson Memorial Library has some fun activities coming up for kids in the month of June. “What is a Dinosaur” presented by A&M paleontologist Liam Norris will be held at 2 p.m. Friday, June 12. Norris will bring some fossils of dinosaurs and a show and tell.

Forest Grove CC VBS set for June 22-24 Forest Grove Christian Church will hold Vacation Bible School June 22-24 from 9 a.m. to 12-noon. The VBS is titled “True North.” The school is for K through 5th grade. The church is located at 8902 US 77. For more Contact Jennifer Walch at 979-540-7285.

The 25th annual MARC Ride will take place on June 13 at The Ranch. The ride is the largest fundraiser the center receives. In 24 years, the ride has raised $618,000. Ride registration begins at 9 a.m. and the first bikes will leave at 11 a.m. The fee is $20 per rider or $25 with a passenger.

After two years of fundraising and seeking grants, the Kay Theater Foundation is set to begin much-needed repairs and improvements this month.

Here some youngsters are finding out what is inside an ambulance.
