Welcome rain brings thoughts of fall

Iknow everyone is thankful for the nice shower we got last Saturday. My Turk’s caps are in full happy mode. The daylilies are getting ready for their fall bloom. There are many years when I am convinced the dry heat of August won’t end. And then, like magic, it begins to fade into the distance.

Dodd named to Super Lawyers list

Richard A. Dodd, of Cappolino, Dodd, Krebs LLP, in Cameron, has again been selected to the Texas Super Lawyers list. In addition to being named a Texas Super Lawyer for 2026, he has been named seven times before.

Rockdale ISD announces that its Early Childhood Development Center, the Tiger Learning Center, has officially earned a four-star designation from Texas Rising Star, a program sponsored by the Texas Workforce Commission (TWC).
