At First Friday Coffee last Friday at the library some interesting archives were presented. At left, Pat Landrum found a treasure left to her by her great-grandmother in a cedar chest. This is a needlework celebrating America’s first centennial in 1876.

Happy July 4th

4 th About 3,000 people enjoyed Rockdale’s Independence Day celebration at Fair Park on Saturday with live music, water slides, food trucks, a dunk tank, cornhole tournament and a hot dog eating contest. At 9:45 p.m. attendees enjoyed a 15-minute fireworks show.
