Rockdale High School football players and coaches were honored at Monday night’s city council meeting for winning the 2023 Battle of the Bell at the suggestion of council members Esmeralda Ruelas-Olivares and Scott Starnes.

The MARC float was the biggest in Saturday night’s parade and the winner of Best Decorated Overall Award. The float carried 50 people including MARC consumers and board members and even had a heater for the participants.

It was a beautiful Monday morning, but it was December so how long would it last? A “white Christmas”? I certainly hope not. But if it is, we will get by. The worst part of winter is having to turn the water off. “Keep the weather above freezing” is my prayer.

Cow-calf clinic to be held Jan. 11th

The 43rd annual Central Texas Cow-Calf Clinic will be held on Thursday, Jan. 11, at the Milam County Youth Exposition Building in Cameron. Registration will begin at 7:30 a.m. with the program to start at 8 a.m.
