Rockdale Christian Services operates a food pantry at 224 W. Cameron Ave., open on Mondays (except federal holidays) from 10 a.m. to 12-noon. Donations of non-perishable food items are welcome, especially one-pound bags of rice, pinto beans, macaroni and cheese, canned soups and peanut butter.

We were discussing communion crackers the other day, the life of a pastor. We have been using the soft crackers that taste a lot like Styrofoam that melts in your mouth. I think there is a general consensus that crisp crackers are best.

Groundbreaking for Rockdale’s first master planned community, and the first new neighborhood since the 1980s, took place this morning on FM 487 at 8:30 a.m. City officials and representatives from Ranch Road Development were on hand. Construction begins tomorrow.

COLTON BRADY COUFAL, 27, of Cameron, was indicted by  the Milam County Grand Jury today for 1ST Degree Felony, Murder, of his mother, Christi Warrick Coufal on December 5, 2021. This matter was presented to the Grand Jury by the Milam County Sheriff’s Office and the Texas Rangers.
