Former Cameron police officer indicted

James N. Sherer, 40, of Cameron, formerly employed as a sergeant at Cameron Police Department, was indicted by the Milam County Grand Jury today for third-degree felony, tampering with evidence.

The Rockdale High School cross country team had more water than usual to deal with on Friday after about three inches of rain on Thursday night at their River Run Tournament at Apache Pass. About five inches of much needed rain fell over the past several days.
