Rockdale VFD Responded to: • 2799 North US 77 for a grass fire on Tuesday. • 248 Inwood Drive for a burn ban violation on Friday. • Murphy Oil to assist with a two-vehicle accident blocking the roadway on Sunday. • Howard/Oaklawn for a burn ban violation on Sunday.

Three felony arrests made by Rockdale PD, five accidents reported

POLICE REPORT Rockdale Police Officers made two felony arrests during the past week including: • 16-year - old white male juvenile was arrested on Sunday by Ofc. Krejci on a warrant for unauthorized use of motor vehicle, two warrants for criminal attempt and 10 warrants for burglary of a vehicle.

Jail log lists all people charged with offenses through the county jail in Cameron. Charges may change during the process. Persons are presumed innocent until convicted in a court of law.

Griesbach installed as VP at TFMC

On Aug. 10-12, the Texas Federation of Music Clubs (TFMC) held its 107th Annual Convention at the MCM Elegante Hotel and Suites in Dallas. TFMC has nine music districts throughout the state. Rockdale’s Matinee Musical Club (MMC) member, Annette Griesbach, represented District IV.

Holliman-Tuma Reunion The 91st annual Holliman- Tuma Reunion will be held at 10 a.m. Sunday, Sept. 4, at the American Legion Hall, 2534 N FM 487. A fully-catered barbecue meal with beef brisket and sausage and all the trimmings will be served at noon for $17 for adults.
