RPD makes two felony arrests over past week

POLICE REPORTRockdale Police Officers made two felony arrests during the past weekincluding: • Casey Allen, 41, Thorndale, was arrested on Tuesday by Sgt. Parker and Ofc. Davis for burglary of a vehicle, criminal mischief ($750 to $2,500)) and attempting to take a weapon from an officer.

MILAM COUNTY JAIL LOG

Jail log lists all people charged with offenses through the county jail in Cameron. Charges may change during the process. Persons are presumed innocent until convicted in a court of law.   • Robert Ramirez, 61, Cameron, public intoxication, fined $183 and released.

Rockdale VFD Responded to: • 8735 CR 316 in Burleson County for mutual aid for a grass fire on Tuesday.   • US 77 and CR 412 in Lee County for mutual aid for a grass fire on Tuesday.   • South FM 908 for a grass fire behind storage buildings on Wednesday.

Water main break on Murray Street

Water will not be available for possibly eight hours, due to the work required to repair the break.  Murray Street between Scarbrough and Marshall Streets will be closed to traffic during the repair work.
