When people ask me about Rockdale, my answer is always this: “Rockdale is laid back, it is a place that is set back in time. It’s different and I love it.” But with that, there are things I don’t like about Rockdale.

RPD Family Funfest at Veterans Park

Dozens showed up throughout the day for the Rockdale Police Department’s Family Funfest at Veterans Memorial City Park in town this past Saturday afternoon. Local children and even a few adults got to hang out in the bounce house, play Connect Four and eat hot dogs.

Community welcomes Hump!

Darian “Hump” Jackson was welcomed home with a parade on Sunday with the Rockdale Fire Department leading the way in their big, red firetruck. Hump had been in the hospital since August of last year with encephalitis. He was then released into rehab and now he’s back home in Rockdale.

Event list for the coming weekend
