RHS library makes changes with modern resources

The Rockdale High School Library has made many changes over the last few years as we try to offer useful, exciting and modern resources for our students and staff.

EASTER BIBLE SCHOOL

EASTER BIBLE SCHOOL—St. John’s United Methodist Church held an Easter bible school for kids in pre-school through fifth grade. The kids did Easter crafts and there was a storyteller, Michelle Fletcher, each day.

Three arrested on felony warrants

Rockdale Police Officers made three felony arrests during the past week including: • Daevion Waters, 20, Austin, was arrested on Wednesday by Ofc. Puente for evading arrest with vehicle and engaging in organized criminal activity. • Bryan Banda, 27, Taylor was arrested on Wednesday by Ofc.

FIRE CALLS

Rockdale VFD Responded to: • 637 Ackerman for a grease fire on Thursday. • Pecan Grove for smell of gas on Thursday. • 1231 East US 79 along with AMR and the Milam County Sheriff’s Department for a two-vehicle major accident with injuries.

Jail log lists all people charged with offenses through the county jail in Cameron. Charges may change during the process. Persons are presumed innocent until convicted in a court of law.

“And let us not grow weary of doing good, for in due season we will reap, if we do not give up.” (Galatians 6:9) I feel like I have been in the zone lately. But it’s not me, Jesus is the flow. I just happen to be where He is at work.

FREE HOT DOGS

FREE HOT DOGS—At Friday’s Easter Egg Hunt and Carnival everything was free for the kinds, including hot dogs and drinks, cotton candy, games, Easter basket decorating, face painting and all kinds of games. The event was a huge success and well attended.

ORGANIZATIONS

St. Monica Ladies BBQ fundraiser Sunday The St. Monica’s Ladies will have a drive-through barbecue fundraiser starting at 10 a.m. Sunday at Simon George Hall. Plates are $12 and will have both barbecue chicken and Green’s sausage. There will also be a sweet shop.

Side dishes for grilling season

There is a guy named Jim I’ve been following online who is Italian and makes very good Italian food on his website called Sip and Feast. I like Italian food but I don’t love it like a lot of people do. He has lots of different kinds of Italian recipes.
