Is the Centers for Disease Control warning us to prepare for the nightmare of a “Zombie Apocalypse”? The short answer is no, reports the Association of Mature American Citizens. But then what is the “Zombie Preparedness” page on the CDC’s website all about?

Injured pedestrian is released from hospital

A 65-year-old Rockdale man was sent to the hospital after he was hit by a vehicle in front of a restaurant on US 79 Wednesday night around 8:15. Darryl Reed was released from Ascension Seton in Round Rock on Friday.

Auxiliary garage sale to be held May 6th-8th

Milano Volunteer Fire Department Ladies Auxiliary will be holding their Spring Garage Sale on May 6-8 at the fire station in Milano. The sale will be held from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. that Thursday and Friday and then 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Saturday.
