COVID-19 takes three more lives

Three more Milam County residents have died from COVID-19, County Judge Steve Young reported Tuesday. "This brings the death toll to 18 in Milam County, since our first infection back in March 2020.

Work on Brushy Creek bridge set to start Friday

The construction for the replacement of the bridge at Brushy Creek on FM 908 will begin Friday. Drivers can expect delays, and through traffic will be detoured along FM 486 and FM 487. The $1.8 million project is expected to be complete in May.

On Saturday at a temporary clinic in Rockdale 15 volunteers came together to vaccinate 226 Milam County residents for the COVID-19 virus. Ten nurses and others came out on a Saturday at the former Rockdale Clinic to receive the vaccinations.

New year so a new program at AgriLife
