FOUR NEW CASES ANNOUNCED

From County Judge Steve Young late Monday night: We have four new PCR confirmed cases and three PCR discharged cases.   We have no new probable cases and six discharged probable cases. No one was admitted to a hospital.

NO NEW (PCR) CASES THURSDAY

From County Judge Steve Young Thursday night: I am happy to report we have no new confirmed PCR cases to report in Milam County Thursday.  However, we do have four new probable cases (antigen) to report.  In addition, we tested a record 30 people in Cameron today with four positive results.

Blood drive set for Sunday in Thorndale

THORNDALE—There will be a blood drive in Thorndale Sunday at St. Paul Lutheran Church & School from 8 a.m. to noon. All blood donors will receive a headband and there will be COVID-19 antibody testing.

Columbus Day closings for some Monday

New COVID-19 cases in Milam County fell to their lowest level in 17 weeks during the past seven days. If that looks like good news—and it is—here’s another stunner. For several days over the weekend, the county had no COVID-19 patients in area hospitals.

San Gabriel Christian welcomes the Carrolls San Gabriel Christian Church will welcome Brother Dan Carroll as guest minister at 11 a.m. Sunday, Oct. 25. Brother Carroll was a student pastor at the church in 1966 and met and married his wife, Gloria Story, there.

Half Milam COVID cases still Cameron area

Since the start of the COVID-19 pandemic, Cameron’s 76520 zip code has contained the majority of cases for the potentially deadly disease. As of Tuesday that total has reached 50 percent. The latest in a series of pie charts was released Tuesday by the Milam County Health Department.
