There’s a cooking forum I like to read and I occasionally participate. It’s just folks who like to cook and share recipes and food photos. Someone shared a recipe for cranberry sauce that I have wanted to try but never have, but it’s so unusual I want to share it with you.

Rockdale removes parking requirement from deal with Perrys over old City Hall

The Rockdale City Council opted to remove the restriction of making a parking out of the lot behind the old City Hall in a vote at a meeting Monday night in City Hall.

The big brass Victory Bell, symbol of Milam County football superiority is now on display of the rotunda of Rockdale High School after the Tigers’ 42-9 win over Cameron two Fridays ago. It has also acquired a new-blue-and-gold paint job.

Coping with stress during uncertain times

Stress can affect people’s lives at any moment. Some say that a certain measure of stress can be a good thing that pushes individuals to try their best to overcome obstacles. However, chronic stress is potentially dangerous for the mind and body. 2020 has been a stressful year for many people.

We all know that 2020 has been a stressful year. “The Unknown” seems to dominate space in our thought process. For a high school student, this situation is not unique to the pandemic but is definitely intensified. What is this year going to look like? Will we have prom? Will we have sports?

SIX NEW CASES WEDNESDAY

 From County Judge Steve Young Wednesday night: Wednesday we had a total of six new cases to report: four confirmed PCR cases and two new probable (antigen) cases.  Five individuals were discharged from the respective active list and our monitored list increased by twelve.

FIVE NEW CASES TUESDAY

From County Judge Steve Young Tuesday night: We have five new confirmed PCR and five new antigen cases to report in Milam County Tuesday.  One active PCR case and three active antigen cases were discharged.  No one was admitted to a hospital.
