County to go ahead with medical building project

Milam County commissioners took a “leap of faith” at a Tuesday meeting in the courthouse when they voted to continue progress on the renovation of the Professional Building.

Car, deer accident at Calhoun, Cameron

A car hit a deer early Saturday morning. There were no injuries reported in the accident, but the small car had to be towed. Raul Vega Rodriguez, 23, of Rockdale was arrested Tuesday night on a charge of possession of a controlled substance (less than 1 gram).
