Rockdale PD responds to two traffic accidents to close out the month

Accidents • Ofc. Lentz responded to Childress at Zana Lane for a two-vehicle accident on June 24 at 1:26 p.m. • Ofc. Wachtel responded to near the intersection of Cameron Avenue and Parkway for a two-vehicle accident on June 30 at 11:55 a.m.

MILAM COUNTY JAIL LOG

Jail log lists all people charged with offenses through the county jail in Cameron. Charges may change during the process. Persons are presumed innocent until convicted in a court of law.

FIRE CALLS

Rockdale VFD Responded to: • 307 Green St. for a fire alarm on June 26 at 6:58 a.m. • Rockdale High School for a fire alarm which was a false alarm on June 28 at 8:14 a.m. • 883 East Third St. for a large brush fire on June 30 at 10:26 p.m.

POSGCD offers free water testing

Post Oak Savannah Groundwater Conservation District is offering free water quality testing kits for private well owners in Milam and Burleson counties. Kits will be available from Monday, July 7, through Thursday, July 17, available for pickup and drop-off between 8 a.m. and 4 p.m.
