Fire calls dispatched from the Rockdale Police Department during the past week included: • 6:45 p.m. Friday, five-gallon diesel spill US 79 at Texas 36 in Milano, Milano VFD. • 10:24 p.m. Saturday, fire reported in Milam County to Hearne PD, turned out to be gas burn-off from oil well, Gause VFD.

This quilt, made of a veteran’s uniforms, will be awarded in a fundraiser June 14 (Flag Day) by American Legion Carlyle Post 358.

MHS commencement set for Friday at gym

MILANO NEWS Commencement ceremonies for Milano High School will be held at 7 p.m. Friday at Geneva Paceley Gym. Eighth grade promotion ceremonies are set for Thursday. AWARDS DAY—Awards day for Milano Elementary will be on the last day of school Friday, May 24.
