Bert Brown, born March 6, 1952, went to be with his Lord and Savior on Nov. 18, 2018. “When you put your cares in God’s Hands, He puts peace in your heart,” wrote Bert in his daily journal. Bert, an outdoorsman, grew up in Rockdale, Texas helping his father raise cattle and riding his quarter horse.

Earnestine Cook, 69 of Thorndale died Tuesday, Nov. 20, 2018, at Seton Williamson County Hospital in Round Rock. Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 1, at Phillips & Luckey Funeral Home in Rockdale with burial at Oak Lawn Cemetery in Rockdale. Visitation is set for 10 a.m.

Emzy Jerome Hebert, 52, of Austin died Thursday, Nov. 22, 2018. He was born in Fort Worth on Aug. 12, 1966, to L.C. Richards and the late Eula (SansomHe) Hebert. was the caregiver of his grandmother who raised him, Susie Sansom Piper, a longtime Reporter contributor.

Aurora Dora Mancillas, 82, of Rockdale died Tuesday, Nov. 20, 2018, at Baylor Scott & White Hospital in Temple. Mass was held Monday, Nov. 26, at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Rockdale with Father Pedro Castillo and Deacon Gus Coelho officiating. Cremation followed services. Mrs.

Marcella Noak of Rock-dale moved on to be with the Lord on Nov. 13, 2018, at age 81, in the company of family, surrounded by friends and prayer. She was born in Wichita Falls on June 21, 1937 to James and Francis Reid. Marcella was a kindred spirit with a heart of service, who never met a stranger.
